Legislation

The Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 (SHWWA Act 2005), and General Applications Regulations 2007 apply to all places of work. Employers and managers overseeing offices must comply with the requirements of the SHWWA Act 2005 and General Applications Regulations 2007.

The SHWWA Act 2005 and General Application Regulations 2007 oblige employers and managers to:
	Conduct risk assessments
	Prepare a safety statement
	Assess hazards associated with VDUs (Computer Workstations)
