BusinessSafety.ie provide a complete range of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management services to businesses all over Ireland. Our services are constantly updated and expanded to ensure our customers get an excellent service at an affordable price. As of December 2009 we are adding IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely training courses to our service list.

 

BusinessSafety.ie was founded by Emlyn Ó Troighthigh CMIOSH who has over 15 years experience in small, medium and large businesses in manufacturing, construction and consultancy in Ireland and Great Britain.

 

Emlyn started out as health and safety officer for Ballymount Precision Engineering where he introduced a comprehensive safety management system before taking up a position a key safety role with Walls Construction. During this time, he worked on such projects as the Westin Hotel Dublin, Pier C at Dublin Airport and the DCU multi-storey car park. Later, in a consultancy capacity, he served as lead consultant for clients such as Diageo, Irish Cement, SM Morris and Park Developments.

 

Having spent a number of years with British consultants Atkins where he assisted some of their most important clients in the implementation of safety management systems, Emlyn returned to Ireland and became Group Safety Health & Environment Manager for Cleary & Doyle Contracting Ltd., reporting directly to the board.

 

Emlyn graduated from UCD with a diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work and is a chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). He has also lectured on the Graduate Diploma in Safety and Health at Work at DCU and delivered IOSH-approved in-house courses. Emlyn is member of the IOSH South East district committee.
